Message from CEO

As we mark another milestone in the year, I want to take a moment to reflect on one of the most inspiring highlights on our calendar, the NT Volunteer of the Year Awards.

Held in both Alice Springs and Darwin, the awards have once again shone a light on the outstanding individuals and groups who give their time, energy and passion to support their communities across the Territory. From grassroots initiatives to lifelong commitments, the stories shared at both events were a powerful reminder of the vital role volunteers play in making the NT a better place for everyone.

It was a privilege to meet so many of you, whether as nominees, winners or supporters, and to witness firsthand the incredible diversity and impact of volunteering in the NT. Your contributions embody the values of community, compassion and connection that are at the heart of everything we do at Volunteering SA&NT.

Congratulations to all our award recipients and nominees. You are the heart of our sector and the inspiration behind our work.

Thank you for continuing to lead the way through volunteering.

Engagement Trip to Katherine – Building Stronger Regional Connections

As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships and partnerships across the Northern Territory, VNT travelled to Katherine for a series of engagements with local organisations. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to make connections with community-based services and gain deeper insight into the unique strengths and challenges of the region.

During the trip, we made connections with a few organisations, Katherine Women’s Legal Service, Katherine Town Council, Headspace Katherine & Katherine Red Cross

The trip also offered several key learnings that will help shape and strengthen the planning of future visits to ensure ongoing, meaningful engagement.
